British Legend JOHNNY SAINT To Open The British National Championships, September 23rd @ the Orpington Halls, Orpington, Kent!

» It was confirmed today that British legend JOHNNY SAINT will open the British National Championships on September 23rd at the Orpington Halls, Orpington, Kent.

Saint, who’s last match was versus Naohiro Hoshikawa in Oct 96, debuted in 1958 and was a 1-time British Lightweight Champion, 2-time European Lightweight Champion and a 10-time World Lightweight Champion. Saint is synonymous with the sport of British wrestling from the era when it was regularly on television with the World of Sport, and we at IPW:UK are proud to have such a leading name in quality wrestling on hand on Sunday September 23rd to open the British National Championship.

It has also been confirmed today that previously unannounced ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm will be in singles action in the opening contest of the British National Championship, directly after the Opening Ceremony, and Saint will be on hand not only to watch that bout, but to greet fans and wrestlers alike.
