IPW:UK

It’s “Summers’ Time” as IPW:UK Return to Sittingbourne, Kent, On Sunday September 9th At The Wyvern Hall!

» On July 29th in front of a super-fun loving Sittingbourne audience, IPW:UK made their debut at the Wyvern Hall. With an amazing 30-minute Iron Fist main event, local fans went away knowing of new wrestling heroes such as Martin Stone, The Kartel, Stixx and many many more.
Speaking of Heroes, however, September 9th will be the evening of the Hated Heroes – LT Summers, Aviv Maayan, Billi Lightning and Andy Boy Simmonz, as all four men rule the roost. With five matches to fill, how will the Heroes decided to torment their enemies such as JC Thunder, Rus Rogers and Martin Stone?

For more information or to buy tickets head over to http://www.ipwuk.com right away!

The Hated Heroes Order Two More Matches Involving JC Thunder, Martin Stone & ‘Security’ Rus Rogers!

» IPW:UK Champion JC Thunder may have had the last laugh this weekend at Summer Sizzler, with “The Real Orpington Heroes” defeating “The Hated Heroes”, but come September 9th it is The Hated Heroes who are in charge.

As a result, and with the IPW:UK Title match under submissions rules coming up at the 3rd Anniversary Weekender, Hated Heroes leader Andy Boy Simmonz has booked JC Thunder in a 3-on-1 HANDICAP MATCH in the main event of “Summers Time”, on September the 9th.

After strong performances in Portsmouth and Orpington of late, Simmonz has recruited two members of “The Thrillers”, in Mark Haskins and Joey Redman to do his bidding for him. The third man in the bout? None other than fresh off of his first two wrestling matches, from Big Brother 8, Billi Lightning!

With the odds as ever stacked against our champ, can Thunder defeat the powerhouse duo and their new famous friend?

» In the second match made by the evening’s matchmakers, The Hated Heroes, we will see two close friends face off as ‘The Guvnor’ Martin Stone takes on ‘The Rock Hard Security Guard’ Rus Rogers.

As a way of punishing Rogers, and to the same extent challenging both he and Stone, The Heroes have set the two close friends against each other, in only Rogers’ third wrestling match, and only his second singles contest!

Don’t however, expect to see either men take it lightly on their opponents just because they are friends. For Stone, even with Rogers’ impressive strength, a loss would be a massive upset. For Rogers, a win could seal a spot on the permanent IPW:UK roster, his ultimate aim.

The Hated Heroes Book Themselves In Pro Wrestling NOAH Open-weight Tag Title Match!

» It was announced last week that Pro Wrestling NOAH duo, and current Open-weight tag champions, Kentaro Shiga and Kishin Kawabata are headed to Sittingbourne on September 9th as a part of their European tour. The two men, who have headlined so far for Premier Promotions, WAW and many more so far on their tour, mark the final pairing of talent being sent to the UK this year.

With The Hated Heroes now left available for other matches having found a suitable tag team to go against JC Thunder, they feel that since they are “the best tag team in IPW:UK”, that THEY personally should be the lucky ones who receive a shot at international tag gold.

And therefore the current card for “Summers Time” on Sunday September 9th 2007 is:

» 5 matches as decided by The Hated Heroes combination of LT Summers, Andy Boy Simmonz, Billi Lightning and Aviv Maayan.

Main Event Handicap Match
- JC Thunder vs. The Thrillers (‘The Star Attraction’ Mark Haskins & ‘The Physical Specimen’ Joey Redman) & From Big Brother 8, Billi Lightning!

Pro Wrestling NOAH Open-weight Tag Title Match
- Kentaro Shiga & Kishin Kawabata (c) vs. The Hated Heroes (Andy Boy Simmonz & LT Summers)

- ‘The Guvnor’ Martin Stone vs. ‘Security’ Rus Rogers

- Plus ‘The Specialist’ Mark Sloan vs. Devilman

And much much more! Your referees Chris Hatch and Andy Quildan, and of course, Master of Ceremonies is ‘Hardcore’ John Atkins!

Funk's Corner
3rd Report from Wrestling MegaFest 2007

After enjoying our conversation with the wrestling fans in attendance and renewing friendships with legends of wrestling, J. J. Dillon, Bruno Sammartino, Jimmy Hart, Barry Blaustein, Jimmy Valiant, Johnny Valiant, Tony Atlas, Former !BANG! Women's Champion, Gail Kim, Marty Janetty, Al Snow, Sid Vicious and many more, Marti and I made our way to the second room where we came upon the Suicidal, Homicidal nephew of the "Original Sheik," Sabu.

I was reminded of the time Sabu came to the Funking Conservatory's !BANG! TV show and threw a ball of fire that exploded in my face filling the ring with a conflagration that scared the wits out of everyone in the audience. Our referee, Claudia "The Claw" Reiff had her hair burned.
My face was seared from the blistering heat.

Now on !BANG! TV in our report on Wrestling MegaFest, third edition we have video of Sabu refusing to shake my hand at Wrestling MegaFest 2007 with flashbacks to the explosive and mysterious ball of fire released from the hands of Sabu.

It is all on !BANG! TV on our website at www.dory-funk.com. Scroll down to Wrestling MegaFest 2007.

In upcoming events, our next !BANG! TV Taping is Sunday September 2nd and on Tuesday September 4th WWE's Dean Malenko will be at the Funking Conservatory to evaluate our wrestling talent.

Pro Wrestling Syndicate
9/7 in Garfield, NJ

What are Nate Stein’s action picks for Pro Wrestling Syndicate at the Garfield Boys & Girls Club, 490 Midland Ave in Garfield, NJ on Saturday, September 7 at 7:30 pm?

* Danny Demanto vs. Kenny Omega

The debuting Omega is ready to make his impact felt, but it’s doubtful the loud mouth Danny Demanto will let make it that easy for the PWS rookie. I think Demanto’s going to wipe the floor with Omega.

* WSU Women’s Title Match: champion Alica vs. Talia

When these gorgeous women lock up, they are going to battle it out for WSU gold. Some people would say Alicia as champion has more to lose, but I think Talia wants to show everyone she can take out anyone, even the WSU Women’s champion. However, I think New Jersey’s one & only superstar, Alicia, will walk away with the title.

* “The Genius” Lanny Poffo vs. “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal

Ohhh-yeah, can you dig this one? On TNA, Mr. Jay Lethal has hit a chord with fans using his “Black Machismo”. But “The Genius” Lanny Poffo, the brother of the original “Macho Man” is aiming to show it takes more than “Machismo” to take care of business in the ring. Mr. Lethal won’t be able to compete with the intellect & experience of “The Genius”.

* Crowbar vs. Michael Sain

For those who missed the psychotic Michael Sain’s onslaught at PWS’s June debut, be prepared for the massacre he plans to bring to Crowbar on September 7. But Crowbar is no stranger to the ring and is known for his own brand of insane intensity. I think Sain is missing the conscience of Crowbar and will do anything it takes to pull out a victory…whatever the cost.

* Justin Credible vs. Reckless Youth in a Two out of Three Falls Match

In June, we saw Credible defeat Reckless Youth after Reckless used every dirty trick to try to pull out his own victory. But it was Reckless claiming that he was cheated out of a win. Credible could tear about anyone in the ring he wanted to, but the technical advantage definitely goes in the column of Reckless Youth. Now with Reckless’s own evil intentions glaring out, I think Credible will be meeting his match next weekend.

* The Zombie vs. Paul E. Normous

Now here are two behemoths not many would want to bump into in a dark alley, let alone step into the ring with. But will the monster Paul E. Normous take out the most talked about monster from the new ECW’s debut on Sci-Fi? I’m gonna stand strong on my call for Paul E. Normous to pull out the win with his power over the unfocused insanity of The Zombie.

* Abyss vs. Steve Mack

The Monster Abyss vs. New Jersey’s own hardest hitter, Steve Mack. Garfield will feel the thunder as these two go blow for blow. I think Mack will definitely let Abyss feel his presence, but it’ll be Abyss standing tall at the end of this one.

* Sabu vs. Trent Acid

“The International Superstar” Trent Acid has made his intentions clear. He’s wants to trailblaze a path straight through Sabu on his way to the top of PWS. But he’s going toe-to-toe with SABU! We know Sabu will go to the limit of his wrestling ability, but Trent Acid knows there are more ways to pull out a victory…even against someone death defying. My surprise call is for Trent Acid to walk away the winner.

* No DQ: Necro Butcher & Chris Hero vs. Eddie Kingston & Samoa Joe

One thing is for sure, Eddie Kingston is in for some trouble. At PWS’s June event, PWS Commissioner Necro Butcher & Chris Hero pulled their power together & set up Kingston with a match against Samoa Joe. Will Joe really be able to put aside his differences with Kingston? You have Hero’s wrestling ability and Necro’s ability to rip someone a new one. Here’s the tricky call. I think it’ll be Necro & Hero with the win, but not before Joe gets in some licks of his own.

*More news: I’m understanding that not only have Rocksha 337 + The Voice have purchased tickets to this event, also on hand will be but Hot 97 FM’s Peter Rosenberg, & myself, as well as former ECW title holder who will make his presence felt. *

Funk's Corner
More from Wrestling Megafest 2007

Turnbuckle Promotions Wrestling MegaFest 2007 was a reunion for many of the Legends of Professional Wrestling. Terry Funk and I re-unite with Jimmy Hart, the Funks manager in the 80's when we were working for WWE. Being with Jimmy this past weekend brings back memories of Wrestlemania II.

Terry and Jimmy talk about who their favorites are in the entertainment world. Jimmy refers to Terry Funk as the, "Will Rogers of Professional Wrestling." Terry refers to himself as the Walter Mathau of professional wrestling. J. J. Dillon joins the conversation. In 1969 I faced J. J. Dillon in the Scope Arena in Norfolk Virginia wrestling him for the NWA World Championship. After facing Dillon, I recommended him to the Amarillo Territory where in the words of J. J. Dillon, it was his favorite place to work in the business. J. J. also has some comments on his rival in the Amarillo Territory, Dick Murdoch.

w/Commissioner Ty Dillinger by pinfall to win the 2007 Johnny Weaver

Officials: Charles Richardson, Redd Jones & Chris Troxler

Notes:
Mid-Atlantic Legends gathered at the 2007 Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament
Finals to surprise the "Dean of Professional Wrestling" Johnny Weaver.
On hand were the very familiar Don & Rocky Kernodle, Rich Landrum, Jim
Nelson (Boris Zukoff) & Sandy Scott, who all greeted the fans during
the Landrum/Weaver event introduction and remained to witness the
Weaver Cup Finals.

Gemini Kid entered the ring after Kamakazi Kid was preparing to land a
frogsplash on Nick Richards in a post-match confrontation. Gemini
instead was crushed into the mat with a flying cross-bodyblock. Tag
team partner Jesse Ortega then rushed in and as the duo attempted to
rough up Kazi, Xsiris entered the fray, ending with Kazi and Xsiris
flooring the team of Gemini & Ortega with challenges issued by both.

Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens confronted Comissioner Ty Dillinger,
demanding an apology for the offensive words that "Little Billy" was
offended by. Instead "Simply" Steve Greene attacked the Madd Trucker,
beating his surgically repaired knee that has kept him out of action
all of 2007 and Dillinger also stole "Little Billy." Dillinger told
Trucker he could have 20-minutes against Greene if he could bring his
broken down body to Greensboro.

Mitch Connor pulled off another incredible win by defeating "Infamous
Icon" Joey Silvia in the Finals of the 2007 Johnny Weaver Cup

JWA SUMMERBASH 4
August 26 In New Brusnwick, NJ

JWA-United Wrestling is proud to present SUMMERBASH 4 on Sunday afternoon, August 26 at the New Brunswick Boxing Gym in New Brunswick, New Jersey with a special 3:00 p.m. belltime.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m., and tickets are available for just $10 at the door.

The biggest match in JWA-United history will take place when JWA Wrestling Alliance World Champion Rick Silver battles United Wrestling Federation World Champion Bill Ding. Both titles are on the line, there must be a winner, and one man will walk out as the first Unified JWA-United Wrestling World Champion!

Bill Ding and Rick Silver are no strangers to each other. Ding actually beat Silver to win the UWF Title almost two years ago. Silver won the JWA Title in February by defeating Bill Ding's best friend and tag team partner Chocolate Boy Wonder.

While both men remain fan favorites, they no longer trust each ohter at all. Each believes that the other has formed some sort of sick alliance with Joe Rules and company. Rick Silver and Bill Ding will pull out all the stops in this one. Who will emerge victorious as the new Unified World Champion? Time will tell.

The final match to decide the first-ever JWA American Champion will take place at SummerBash 4. Dirt Bag Dan has cleaned up his act and changed his name to Dan Rageous, and he will battle it out with none other than Brian Mitchell Foster. They have outlasted six other top contenders to the belt, so you want to be there when these two square off for the vacant American Title!

Taylor Nicole Rules (with her manager Luxurious Lynne) will defend the JWA-United Women's Title, and World Tag Team Champions Corey Xyde & Cameron Shaft are set to defend their titles as well. While their opponents are still yet to be announced, we can guarantee you this is SummerBash 4, and whoever they face will not go down without a fight! It will be spectacular.

On August 26 you will also see: Section 8, Travis Blackchurch, The Heretic, The Jersey Cowboy, "Modest" Mark Keenan, Mike Matixx, "Radical" Robby Morrison, Della Morte, Nicky Oceans, Mikey Pacifica, Rudo The Heel, The "Maniacal" Hubie Volk, PLUS a special appearance by RECKLESS YOUTH!

There will be more wrestlers and matches added to this big event, as well as a few surprises! Don't miss SummerBash 4, Sunday afternoon, August 26 at The New Brunswick Boxing Gym, 121 Jersey Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901

FAITH IN NOTHING WILL DEFEND THE CAPW TAG TEAM TITLES!
They are the most dominant tag team perhaps in Cleveland All-Pro history, and have left a path of destruction on their road to solidifying themselves as THE team to beat in the state of Ohio. From their unforgettable Ladder Match war, to their defeat of legendary tag team competitors Tracy Smothers & Chris Hamrick, Christian Faith & Vincent Nothing have personified the meaning of ‘champion’. On Saturday, October 6, FIN face their latest challenge on the road to tag team immortality.

CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title: Super Hentai vs. The Aftermath
Super Hentai has traveled the world over, perfecting his craft, building his reputation, and winning countless championships. After watching a title held hostage by men he felt unworthy of carrying the crown, Super Hentai is on a mission to restore prestige and credibility to the CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title one victory at a time. The Aftermath is still beginning his ascension in professional wrestling. While some detractors may say The Aftermath may not deserve a match of this caliber, Aftermath is hoping to silence all critics in one night by defeating the top dog and established veteran. Hentai’s passion and determination or Aftermath’s youthful exuberance, which will win out with the Jr. Heavyweight Title at stake?

THE ROUGE MAKE THEIR CAPW DEBUT
We’ve seen them in CAPW in the past, but never together, and never in the mood and state of mind they are in now. Mysterious, unexplainable, and very dangerous. Jason Gory and Justin Idol are… The Rouge. Coming to CAPW October 6.

Keep checking back to www.capw.net and CAPW Press Releases for more information on CAPW’s October 6 live event.

Plus much more to be announced!!!

Matches Scheduled:

Women's Wrestling Action Alicia vs. "Queen of Scream" Daffney

Long Island's favorite Jersey Girl, Alicia will be in action on August 25th. In order to give the fans quality women's wrestling, her opponent will be none other than former WCW star, "Queen of Scream" Daffney! Daffney will be making her return to VPW after acting as a special referee earlier this year in a match that also featured Alicia. Alicia and Daffney have mutual respect for each other and want to have match to see who's better. Both Alicia and Daffney are always looking for competitive quality opponents and now they have each other. Alicia has been a dominant female force in VPW. It looks like Daffney may end up being Alicia's toughest opponent yet!!

Cruiserweight Action "The Good Guy"Azrieal vs. Javi-Air

Two of VPW's hottest high-flyers are set to square off on August 25th. Javi-Air is looking to take it to the skies and get back on track after being defeated by Deranged at the last VPW event. The fans have always supported Javi-Air and this time will be no different as he takes on the "The Good Guy"Azrieal. Despite his moniker, there is nothing nice about Azrieal. Azrieal may be one of the top cruiserweights out there, but he is as dangerous as he is talented. Fresh off a huge win over the Grim Reefer, Azrieal will certainly make sure that he keeps himself on top of VPW. Can Javi-Air overcome his opponent? Or will Azrieal continue his hot streak? Both men have consistently been a part of some of the most intense matches in VPW and this one will surely be no different!!

Hair vs. Hair Match Johnny Suburban w/ Jack O'Hearts vs. DC Diamond w/ Jimmy Time

The war between Johnny Suburban and DC Diamond has been raging strong since September 2006. It was then that Johnny Suburban was brought in to VPW by his then-friend, DC Diamond, to watch his back. Little did DC Diamond know, Suburban had already been hired by the dastardly Jack O'Hearts and was secretly the newest member of The Crew. By the end of that night, Suburban had not only cost Diamond the match, but also brutally attacked him. From that point on, anytime Johnny Suburban and DC Diamond are anywhere in the same building, all hell has broken loose. Going back even further, DC Diamond has been battling Jack O'Hearts in one form or another since day one in VPW. Diamond and Suburban have only met in a singles match one time before and it was Johnny Suburban standing tall at the end of that battle. When they competed in a tag match earlier this year, it was DC Diamond who got the win. Unfortunately, his celebration was cut short and Diamond was once again brutally attacked. Back in June, while Johnny Suburban was celebrating a victory, DC Diamond and his manager Jimmy Time took the fight directly to Johnny Suburban. Now is the time for the score to be settled and it will happen on August 25th in a Hair vs. Hair Match. The loser of this match will not only lose this war, but he will also suffer the shame and embarrassment of having his head shaved in the middle of the ring. There is no way of anybody backing out of this one. Someone is leaving the building bald!!!

Tag Team Grudge Match Joe So Delicious and Sabotage w/ Jason Static vs. Mack Daddy Flexx and ???

This match was originally scheduled to also include Richie Tyler as Flexx's tag team partner, but unfortunately Tyler fractured his leg last month. Unless he is medically cleared to compete on August 25th, Mack Daddy Flexx may have to take on two of his rivals alone. VPW is looking into finding a replacement for Richie Tyler, but nothing is certain. Of course this situation makes Jason Static, Joe So Delicious and Sabotage very happy since they appear to have the clear advantage heading into the big event. The injured Jason Static has been nothing but trouble since he turned his back on the fans earlier this year. None of the participants in this match are strangers to each other and both sides are looking for some payback. At our last show, Mack Daddy Flexx defeated Joe Delicious in a singles match, but Delicious and Static then orchestrated a sneak attack after Flexx made his way back through the curtain. Flexx had some unexpected help from his trainer, WWE Hall of Famer, Johnny Rodz. Rodz didn't appreciate Joe So Delicious' behavior, especially since Delicious is also a student of Flexx. With so much riding on this match, anything can happen!!!

Special Rematch Scotty Rio vs. Major Intencity

Back in June, Scotty Rio was defeated by Major Intencity. Intencity was making his wrestling return after a lengthy hiatus. Both men were looking to secure a win here in the hopes of moving up the ladder in VPW. Unfortunately for Scotty Rio, he came up short. Following the match, Rio was complaining to anybody who would listen that he only lost the match because he injured himself training a few days earlier. He also claimed that Major Intencity got lucky and that it would never happen again. VPW officials have decided to give Scotty Rio one more chance at defeating Major Intencity on August 25th. Major Intencity has been training hard and is ready for his upcoming challenge. When asked for a comment, Intencity said the following, "Scotty Rio can make up all the excuses that he wants, but at the end of the day, he still lost. If he wants to step in the ring with me again, the same thing is going to happen." Find out on August 25th if Scotty Rio bit off more than he could chew or if Major Intencity will keep up his hot streak!!!

Tag Team Action Eclipse w/ Jack O'Hearts vs. JMS/ VSK

After being defeated and bloodied by the Dead Presidents back in June, Eclipse are looking to get back on to their winning ways. Both members of Eclipse seemed to feel that Jack O'Hearts was the cause of their huge loss, but all parties smoothed everything over since then and are refocused. Standing in Eclipse's path are the new team of JMS and VSK. JMS has tried a few different partners in the past, but has never been able to defeat the dominant Eclipse. His newest partner will be the debuting VSK. Not much is known about VSK, but it is known that JMS brought him in with the hopes of finally defeating Eclipse. When asked for a comment regarding this upcoming match, Jack O'Hearts had this to say, "JMS? VSK? I don't care how many letters of the alphabet show up in the ring because my main men, Eclipse, are gonna make alphabet soup out of those turkeys. You can take that to the bank and bank on it baby." Will Eclipse regain their momentum or will this new tandem prove to be the threat that puts Eclipse down?!!?!

Triple Threat Match Mr. Professional w/ Vinny the Guido vs. Nick Noshus vs. Chopsaw

Get ready for another exciting triple threat match in VPW!! It will be one fall to a finish in this exciting contest. First up is "Mr. Giggalo" Vinny the Guido's top charge, Mr. Professional. Mr. Professional is one angry individual and likes to make his opponents pay. When Professional made his debut, he brutalized JMS. Then back in June, he took on Johnny Suburban. Even though he was defeated, Professional took Suburban to the limit. Now Vinny the Guido has been telling everyone that Mr. Professional's path to glory begins on August 25th where he will defeat not one, but two other individuals. The next participant in this match is Nick Noshus. Noshus was successful in his VPW debut back in June and is looking to continue his winning ways. The VPW fans have no love lost for Noshus, as he berated them following his match. On the otherhand, the final participant in this match has always been a VPW fan-favorite, Chopsaw! After a brief absence, Chopsaw is set to make his return to action on August 25th. Time will tell if Chopsaw still has the fire inside of him that everyone is used to or if his time away will hinder his ability. Make sure to check out this wild encounter!!

Other VPW News:

The famous, or infamous, Zombie of ECW will be making a special visit to the VFW Hall in Centereach. VPW officials received a strange message on the office answering machine. Several people listened to it, but nobody could make heads or tails about what was going on. A special investigator was called in and eventually the message was deciphered to the following, "I am the ECW Zombie. I will be coming to VPW. All shall beware." It looks like VPW may need to call a certain group of paranormal investigators.

On October 12, 2007, VPW will be having a tournament to crown the first ever VPW Champion. Details on this tournament will be announced shortly.

Jason Static, who has been injured for the bulk of 2007, is gearing up for his in-ring return. Static told VPW the following when he was asked about his status, "Listen, if I feel like giving those no good Long Island fans a match that involves the best body in the business, then I will. If I just feel like accompanying my guys to the ring, then that's all you're going to get." As a result, VPW will not be scheduling an opponent for Jason Static.

If a match does end up occurring, VPW will find an opponent.

Due to Kevin Matthews brutal attack on Don Tony back in June where he cracked Don Tony in the head with a glass plate, coupled with his overall all behavior throughout the night, VPW has decided to indefinitely suspend Kevin Matthews. Originally, Grim Reefer was scheduled to take on Kevin Matthews in a rematch, but that will not happen at this time. Grim Reefer will still be in action on August 25, but his opponent has not yet been determined.

VPW will begin to run events more frequently. The following dates are the remaining schedule for this calendar year. Dates have also been scheduled for 2008. All events will be held at the VFW Hall in Centereach.

Good way to open the show, crowd was pretty into it. MVP worked the crowd well. D-Ray wins after alot of arguing.

Reck vs Hayden Avery

Caused a kerfluffel with Avery, Reck rolls him up, feet on the ropes ref doesn't see. Avery calls the both of them lovers, gets the fans to chant kiss at the new allied pair. Avery challenges Indy Soldier to a match Oct.19th in Woodstock for PWX with Robert Roode.

Michigan star Ricky Fontaine vs Kobra Kai
Fontaine comes out with a purple mirror. Kai was over with the woodstock crowd. Back and forth action. Crowd chants ugly Ricky, Kobra Kai victorious after a modified springboard moonsault into a pin.

At this point there is a big opening ceremonies procession for the Woodstock Fair, marching highland band. Tractors, speeches the regular routine.

Misty Haven vs International Womens Star and Former WWE Hardcore Champ BOBCAT

Misty comes out with her own foam finger, says Woodstock stinks, has worked 50 cities and 50 fairs this summer and this was the worst. Calls Bobcat a crossdresser, says Woodstock should be so lucky to have someone as good looking as herself in their town. Says the children are so ugly they trick-or-treat over the phone. Bobcat comes out, says Misty is permenmentaly in a Halloween costume, says she's gonna kick her ass. The two start brawling all over, they come up into the grandstand brawling everywhere even to the top. Come back down, work back to the ring Bobcat wins.

Frankie The Mobster vs Derek Wylde for the X-Title
Frankie says he can't believe he made the drive from Quebec to this shithole. Mocks "Dangerboy". Dangerboy comes out, good fan reaction. Mobster dominates most of the match, bitches Turnip around who reffed only this match. Wylde wins. One of the matches of the night.

Tyson Dux vs Former WWE and ECW star AL SNOW
Tyson Dux comes out says that Al Snow is scared and didn't come to Woodstock. He says he can't blame him and pleads with the crowd to do their laundry and take a shower. He will be taking poses in the ring. Al Snow makes his entrance with HEAD. Some fans were chanting ECW, crowd solidly behind Al Snow. Works the crowd with HEAD at the start, Dux demands that it leaves the ring. Dux works Snow's arm for the majority of the match. One of the best matches of the night based on solid in ring work. Snow turns the tide with some headlocks and alot of solid mat work. Ref almost gets crushed in the corner, Snow finally grabs HEAD, ref is disoriented, he smashes Dux, and pins.

Bobcat and Snow took lots of pics, and signed everyones swag. Snow talked to the HEAD during pics and autographs.

Fun show over all.

Dean Malenko Coming to Funk's Corner, !BANG! TV news

Source: Dory Funk Jr.

Funk's Corner - Second Generation Legend and WWE Producer, Dean Malenko is Coming to the Funking Conservatory.

"You have the most beautiful country I have ever seen. The people are wonderful. The beaches are the best in the world and nature in your country is untouched."

"There is only one thing you don't have here in Australia. You have no heroes. No role models for your children and young people to look up to."

"I, The Great Malenko will fill the emptiness you all have here in Australia. I will be your hero."

As I listened to Boris Malenko do the interview for network television out of Sydney, Australia, I thought, "What a great way to get the heat as a heel and not have to put the country or the people down."

Boris Malenko was one of the greatest heels on interviews I have seen. He was also a box office attraction for Eddie Graham in the Florida Territory. Boris Malenko was the originator of the Russian Chain match.

Boris Malenko's chain used in a match in Florida with Eddie Graham was actually shipped from Florida to the Amarillo Territory and used in the first ever Russian Chain Match in the Amarillo Territory between Dory Funk Sr. and Iron Mike Dibiase.

Boris Malenko (Larry Simon) had two sons who followed his footsteps in professional wrestling, Dean and Joe Malenko.

Here at the Funking Conservatory, we are proud to announce that second generation wrestler, Wrestling Legend and WWE Producer, Dean Malenko will be at the Funking Conservatory Tuesday September 4th to scout wrestling talent.

ACW report 8/21

Source: http://www.impactwrestling.com

The evening was opened by the New Movement who are in possession of the ACW Heavyweight (David Mercury) and the ACW Tag Team (“Raging Bull” Eddie Taurus & “the Rising Star” Austin Amadeus) championships that George Martel couldn’t help but gloat about in front of the fans that clearly hate the Movement. Each champion took some time to rub their victory in the faces of their non-supporters. Mercury claimed they were going to purify the locker room and create order for all to follow. He was so confident in his abilities he laid an open challenge which was answered by the Wewahitchka resident of ACW, Moonshine McCoy.

(1) New ACW Heavyweight champion “the G.O.A.T” David Mercury of the New Movement (w/George Martel) defeated Moonshine McCoy.

To everyone’s surprise McCoy used some chain wrestling to work over Mercury‘s left arm for several minutes. The Movement could only watch on in shock as McCoy went move for move with Mercury who was backdropped to the floor. McCoy followed out with a forward roll into the champion. But when the action came back to the ring McCoy pushed Mercury in first and he got pounced in with right hand punches to the jaw. That opening was all the Movement needed to get involved as Mercury kept the referee busy. McCoy got out of a chinlock with a jawbreaker but when he went to the ropes Mercury sent him right back to the mat into another chinlock. McCoy reversed a corner whip and hit a clothesline followed by a backdrop and ten punches in a corner. But Mercury was able to double leg McCoy to the mat and get the pin, with what looked like both of his feet on the ropes for leverage.

(2) “Vastly Underrated” Logan Fernandez won the ACW Cruiserweight championship from Jaison Moore.

Early on Fernandez kept walking into Moore’s fast paced offense but stopped it when he held the ropes to avoid a dropkick. Fernandez missed a cross bodyblock and went to the floor to reformulate a strategy but Moore pulled him back into the ring. Fernandez got control again with what looked like a sneaky move but the referee allowed the match to continue. Moore fought out of a chinlock but ran right into a Fernandez forearm. Fernandez kept attacking Moore’s upper body with forearms and chest chops and a knee drop for two. Fernandez went up but missed an elbow drop and it allowed Moore to get a second wind with several clotheslines and a Samoan drop. Fernandez missed a corner splash and it allowed Moore to hit an STO into the turnbuckles but Fernandez kicked out of a sitout power bomb. Moore went to end the match but got hit with a superkick for two. George Martel came out of the locker room and argued with referee Billy Dalton. As this went on, Eddie Taurus and Austin Amadeus attacked Moore. This allowed Fernandez to get the win and the championship. After the match Martel told everyone Fernandez was the newest member of the New Movement.

(3) “The 8th Deadly Sin” Sideshow defeated Nick “I’m Not Gay” Fame.

Fame was a bit over matched in power and took some time to hide behind the referee. Fame backed Sideshow to a corner but Sideshow made the referee fall for the shoe is untied gag so he had a clear shot at Fame and a chest chop. After some more chops Sideshow hit the G-14 (Go F**k Yourself spear) which sent Fame to the floor. Sideshow went out after him and when they got back on the apron Fame hit a knee to the gut and a spinning neckbreaker. Fame followed with a Rude Awakening for two. But Sideshow fought back with a spring board splash for two only to be hit by a Fame leg lariat and another neckbreaker. Sideshow fought to his feet but ran into an elbow. Sideshow fought to his feet from a reverse chinlock but Fame was quicker and decked Sideshow in the face again. Fame sensed something was wrong and countered out of the Backiotimy into a pin for two, but he didn’t counter out of a Catatonic Backbreaker or a running powerslam. Sideshow got to his feet and went crazy on Fame with a series of moves which led to the Backiotimy for two as Fame got his leg on the ropes. Sideshow called for Double Penetration but Fame countered into a sunset flip for two and hit an ear ringing enziguri. Fame put Sideshow on the top but Sideshow fought back even as Fame hit a superplex. Fame went to end the match but Sideshow countered out of what looked like Sliced Bread #2 into Double Penetration to gain the win.

(4) New ACW Kombat champion Ray Beez defeated “South Florida Phenom” Scott Commodity.

This clearly was not Commodity’s style of match and he told the fans before the bout he wasn’t even scheduled to be in NPR. He claimed the ACW needed him to hold a quality match not hardcore. Early on the match was anything but hardcore as Commodity tried to wrestle. But Beez got in several hard hitting shots to Commodity’s upper body including a clothesline that took both men to the floor. Beez grabbed a jug of water and smashed into Commodity’s head. The action went to the entry way where Commodity backdropped Beez onto the stage. Commodity also used a trash can as he dragged Beez back to the ringside area. Commodity hit an in ring knee drop for two but Beez fought up and wedged a chair into the corner, but he ended up going head first into it thanks to Commodity and a corner whip. Commodity grabbed the chair and dropkicked it into Beez’s face but Beez fought back again with punches. But Commodity got punches of his own and suplexed Beez onto the open folding chair for two. Frustration began to show on Commodity’s face as Beez kept kicking out of pin attempts. Commodity missed a corner splash and got hit with a German suplex and went up top. But his Dumpster Dive was met with a Commodity dropkick for two. Commodity hit several forearm shots to the back but got hit with a Saito suplex for two. Beez got another energy rush hitting knee lifts to Commodity’s ribs and a series of moves which led to a running clothesline. Beez knocked Commodity to the mat so he could go under the ring for a trash can. Beez hit Commodity with a top rope boot to the back of the head and grabbed the trash can, but the can met the referee’s head instead of Commodity’s. With the referee down there was no one to count after Beez hit a discus clothesline. Commodity got to hit feet and hit several punches but when he went to the top Beez hit the ropes, causing Commodity to fall head first into the trash can. Beez hit a move that incapacitated Commodity long enough that the referee could be revived and count the pin.

Before the main event George Martel and friends made their way to the ring to discuss some New Movement business with Delta Iota Kappa who also came to the ring. While Martel praised the former champions on their long title reign but it also seemed like he was scared of them as he offered them a place in the New Movement. Things were discussed among the DIK members and Strong took the mic from Martel and told him when he taps the mic everyone shuts the f**k up and DIK attacked Martel.

(5) Former champions Delta Iota Kappa (“Candizzle Dream” Joshua Masters & Sedrick Strong w/Fetish) defetaed NEW ACW Tag Team champions “Raging Bull” Eddie Taurus and “the Rising Star” Austin Amadeus of the New Movement (w/George Martel) via countout.

The bell rang and the fighting began in and out of the ring as Masters fought with Amadeus while Strong and Taurus fought to the entry way. The action came back to the ring where Masters was isolated from Strong by the Movement. To the shock of many the fans sided with DIK during the match. Masters took a beating and then some from all the Movement members as Strong and Fetish could only watch on. Masters avoided a Taurus corner move but couldn’t tag out as Taurus grabbed his ankle as Amadeus tagged in. But it went bad when Taurus came back in and got hit with an Acecrusher which allowed Strong to come in hot and energized. Strong hit Amadeus with a spear but Taurus made the save and hit Strong with a sitout slam. But Masters recovered and hit Taurus with a Riki Lariat. Master and Strong grabbed up Amadeus for a double team move but they got too close to the ropes and it allowed Taurus to grab a hold of Amadeus’ ankle. Martel grabbed both men and the tile belts as they headed to the locker room, letting referee Billy Dalton count them out. After the match Strong told the New Movement they just begun a sh*tstorm of trouble.
